1. Is there a limit to the number of times I can use the forms?
No. When you purchase Legacy Energy Forms, the License Agreement allows you to use all the forms as many times as you wish.
2. What happened to “Know All Men by These Presents?”
In over twenty-five (25) years we’ve never been able to find anyone to explain the significance this phrase has in today’s documents, and have never included the phrase in any of the Legacy Energy Forms. In addition to eliminating this phrase, the forms in Legacy Energy Forms are written in plain English, with as much legalese eliminated as possible. This makes each form easier to read and understand.
3. Who Prepared Legacy Energy Forms?
Each individual form template was written, edited, and compiled by experienced Oil & Gas Attorneys. The principle of Legacy Energy Forms is a practicing oil and gas attorney with over 40 years experience in the industry.
4. Are There different Forms in each Legacy Energy Forms Package?

5. Is there a network version of the package?
Currently the Legacy Energy Forms are only available as single user license.

8. Can I revise the forms to meet my needs?

9. Can the forms be used in all 50 states?
Yes. The only forms that are state specific are the lease forms. All other forms can be adapted for use in any state.
10. How long does it take to learn Legacy Energy Forms?
Maybe 5 minutes! There is no learning curve related to Legacy Energy Forms. You will be supplied a comprehensive library of legal form templates. To utilize the forms you will simply need to locate the template form that meet your requirements and open the file in the word processing package of your choosing.
11. Can I purchase a single form?
Legacy Energy Forms does not sell individual forms. Many of the forms have been licensed to, and may be purchased individually, from US Legal Forms at www.uslegalforms.com.
12. Why don’t the forms contain the “legalease” I am use to in legal forms?
In preparing the forms in Legacy Energy Forms, a diligent effort was made to eliminate much of the “legalese” from the documents, and write them in plain English. Eliminating “whereas,” “heretofore,” “witnesseth,” etc. does not change the legal effect or meaning of the text of the forms. It does make them easier to read, and easier to understand.
13. What Word Processing packages are required to modify and customize our forms?

14. What if I don’t like the way the forms are formatted?
You can change the format of any of the forms (font, page size, margins) to meet your particular preference.
16. Do we provide Technical Support?
No. “Live” technical support is available Monday through Friday during normal business hours (Central Time). If you call after those times, leave us a message and we will return your call the next business day. 17. Who is Legacy Energy Forms?
Legacy Energy Forms purchased KANES Forms in 2018. Legacy Energy Forms, formerly known as KANES Forms has been providing forms for use in oil and gas transactions since 1989, but has not engaged in a great deal of commercial advertising, primarily to hold down costs and pass the savings on to our customers. 18. Are the form templates intended to provide legal advice?
No. While the forms are written and edited by an attorney, they are not intended to provide or be a substitute for legal advice. As specified in the License Agreement, they are intended to be used by those with experience in drafting oil/gas/energy transaction documents, with, or in conjunction with, advice from experienced practitioners.
